Wow, for the past several months, I had this incorrectly listed as their "Napa Valley" CS and not their "Atlas Peak". It was terrific. As it was a gift, it was even better, but man... it was great with nice texture, balance, smooth and balanced. While I love Rutherford and Oakville, I do like the mountain fruit as well! Great Stuff!
In digging into this wine a bit more, it looks like this vintage may also be the last Atlas Peak bottling from Hill Family Estate, so I better not wax too enthusiastically much about it as I'll probably never get it again. Bummer!

Tasted this wine blind at an excellent horizontal showcasing Cabernet from the 2014 vintage from Napa Valley and beyond hosted by Enologix. Line up: Shafer One Point Five, Pahlmeyer Napa Valley, Lewis Cellars Reserve, Robert Craig Howell Mountain, Hill Family Estate Atlas Peak, Hess Collection Estate Grown Mount Veeder, Hanna Red Ranch Alexander Valley, J. Lohr Signature Paso Robles, Stone Edge Farm Estate Sonoma Valley, Cade Estate Howell Mountain, Chappellet Pritchard Hill, Pine Ridge Napa Valley, Schrader RBS To Kalon, Frog’s Leap Rutherford.
Tied for 8th of 14 for the night.
