This was a light bodied, bistro version of chinon, with red fruits (cherry and even strawberry) and a slight vegetal note on the nose and palate. Simple but tasty, some tannins give it a bit of grit on the finish (B/B+).

It has been a few years since my last bottle and the harsh tannins that I remember are gone. Nice red fruits and full mouthfeel. A tad "grapey" flavor that may be due to the lower alcohol level. Overall a good wine that was worth the wait. Oh, this was my 1,000th bottle since I started using CellarTracker...will be pairing with homemade chili...ole!

Classic loire cab franc - some green bell pepper, cherry; Palate similar, mineral, great acid, voluptuous fruit. Beautiful wine, no hurry to drink at this stage.

Cherry, herbal, bell pepper, a bit hot. Palate balanced, still juicy fruit, some tannin, showing heat of vintage.

Remains fresh. Slightly hot but good pepper notes and cherry. Palate balanced and showing good acid.
