  • Lovely again. The vinous nature is a bit much right upon opening. Once that relaxes you get a very bright Chard with those flor notes. Some cider like notes. Generous acid that wants to be mineral but is a bit beat back by the vinous, flor sorts of quality. This all actually makes it more complex. There is a focused elegance that really makes this work. Its something that makes Gahier's wines notable. Very nice. Excellent value too.

  • Somewhat reduced early on which slowly fades over a couple hours. Nose of marcona almonds, fresh cut lemon and white vinegar. Fresh with some weight. More nutty flavors with dry sherry. Tart lemon. Bright acids. Some more white vinegar. Strong fruit density means this might be one for aging. It's open now though. Probably best with some fatty foods. Gahier seems to find complexity in a lighter way than other wines from the region. Very nice.

  • P&p. Citrusy, along the lines of sour orange/Meyer lemon, including the peel, with some crusty sourdough bread and stony minerality, and explicit but pleasant vinegar. Only hints of oxidative character, apart from the vinegar. Tasty, characterful, enjoyable wine.

  • Clear, dull pale yellow in colour. Initial slight petrol/super glue that blew off quickly leaving behind a sweet nectarines. White florals, perhaps Jasmine.
Medium minus body with sharp high acidity. Lots of white stone fruits, white peach, white nectarine with skins. Sweet but no residual sugar. A bit like biting into waxy honeycomb. Very complex and definately has some oxidative character which goes well with this.
Finish is long, with the zingy acidity with sweet fruits keeping me wanting more. Extremely satisfying wine that is dying for some food but so good on its own too.
