Elevated intensity aromatics defined by nectarine (terpenes), and a faint cruciferous broccoli/radish flavor.
Dry (maybe 2g RS), 12.5% alcohol, medium plus (++) acid, medium plus bitterness (quite phenolic), medium finish.
Overall I think the vegetal and elevated phenolic characters suggest Gruner (though the RS is a bit unusual for a less-ripe Gruner). The structure and lack of botrytis suggest a Federspiel Gruner, or a non-reserve from Kamptal/Kremstal.
Final call: 2016 Federspiel (or non-reserve) Gruner Veltliner, from a leaner house like Pichler, Brundlmayer, Hirsch.
Actually:
Kim Crawford Pinot Gris, Marlborough, 2016
Analysis: On re-tasting, the vegetal quality seems not prominent. The RS seems way more - maybe 5-6g RS. I was right to be hesitant. Also the alcohol is more - 13.5% (maybe the cooler temperature cause me to underestimate it).

The wine looks yellow colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit and lemon. It tastes like grapefruit, lemon, pear and honeysuckle. The body is light/medium. The wine has linear texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
