  • No particular notes, but remember not being particularly impressed.

  • I wasn't expecting much based on other reviews but I really like this wine a lot.

Color of the wine is quite dark hinting at a large wine but much more restrained on the palate.

The texture is almost silky, but with nice grippy tannins. Nice touch of acidity. Bright fruit with a touch of black pepper.

One the nose, I can almost get the pauillac 'graphite/pencil shaving' thing. Can also smell a touch of cinnamon as well as a background of fruit.

I think this is a very well balanced wine with interesting flavors and aroma. This is very much a style I like.

  • Fragrant nose and some fruit when opened (poured into decanter) and did the classic swirl and sip. It wanted to be juicy, but gave up in the process. Very one dimensional but it had some character. A little bit of cedar, with earthy notes, but the finish just falls flat. The finish is very short and somewhat dry, and I think his bottle would have gone great with an Italian meal than steak. However, what can you expect from a Kirkland brand Pauillac. Had this wine for a while, and waited for the right occasion to drink at home. Not disappointed, somewhat delighted, but would opt for a different bottle with my meal. Had to try though.

  • Rather disappointed to have a KS wine drink no better than other wines in the same price range. There are actually better bordeauxs available at Costco for around the same price. This wine is mostly red fruit with no complexity at all and a weak finish. Unfortunately, I bought a case of it expecting it to improve at least somewhat over time. The rest of the case is going into my give aways. Not worth drinking another bottle.

  • Prior notes hold true. Snuck this one into a line up with other $20-ish bottles and tried to pick out the "club wine". Downgrading my rating from 88 last time to 87 this time. Fairly one dimensional but it held it's own with others in this price range.
