  • Dense dark core with garnet hue, aromas of blackcurrant, blackcherry, forest floor, earth and hints of liquorice.
Smooth and approachable entry, showing mix of black and red fruits along with earth, leather and spices. Finishes well with soft grippy tannins. Decent wine, drinking nicely with freshness and medium acidity.

  • Château Malmaison, Moulis-en-Médoc 2014: Deep ruby in color, with on the nose ripe strawberries, blackberries and currants, as well as a hint of loamy earth and coffee. Medium-bodied, with a silky, pure and clean texture. On the palate tart red and black berry fruit, a touch of earthy minerals, graphite, coffee, lead pencil, tobacco with medium-plus acidity, roasted espresso as well as searing tannins coating the mouth on the moderately long finish. This is a nice and very well-made Bordeaux with a more gentle and feminine character than usual for a Médoc. Need 2-3 years to come into its own and should cellar well for about 10-12 years from the harvest if stored properly. 14% Abv. 88-89
