Deep purple in colour. Developing with medium (+) intensity of elderflower, red cherries, black pepper, green bell pepper, mint, cloves. On the palate it is dry with medium acidity, high tannins. Body is medium (+) and high alcohol. Flavour intensity is medium (+) and palate has same as nose with black plums, savoury, earthy and dusty and finishes medium (+). Quality is very good, good complexity and length. Drink now and suitable for aging.

Rhone with Stephane Ogier (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Rich, dense, red berry, with floral top notes slight cream and a little oaky polish. Equally rich and dense on the palate, the fruit is clean and, almost, jubey but there is a little more pepperiness here and some tannic grip on the medium plus length. Hmm.

Super Southern Rhone (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Garrigue over cream, perfumed but muted red berry fruit and meaty notes. Slight stalks here as well but contained and constrained. In the mouth the juicy, fleshy but muted fruit is lost against the abundant and drying front of mouth tannic grip. It's a bit short as well. Meh.
