  • Allow me to state up front I am a Rossignol fan, so we start with that bias.

Drank at dinner with Codfish Basquaise (Basquaise sauce), olive oil smashed Yukon potatoes with sea salt, Tuscan kale with chorizo crumble. A dish that in the first two bites you were trying to decide exactly what it is and then it opens into a beautiful complexity of flavors that paired well with the wine.

The wine is smooth, well integrated tannins, soft silky mouth feel. Aromas of smoke and typical Burgundian Terroir, bright fruit in balance with acidity and tannins. Surprisingly lingering fruit finish. Sorry nothing more but dinner means talking with my wife and friends and doing an analytical assessment of the wine :-). Not everyone is as ‘geeky’ as I am :-)
