Wine of the night last night with Cazuela stew and Chilean wines. Just beautiful stuff. This will continue to evolve and improve for at least another eight years IMHO.

It turns out, Chile is just a capable as California at producing a fruit bomb. Lots of flavors of blackberry, plum, and some black pepper, good with a grilled red meat dish, this held up its end of the bargain. I found time to be unkind to this wine, on day two it had no pop whatsoever so i would suggest drinking this immediately after opening.

54/20/16/10 Cabernet/Syrah/Cab Franc/Petit Verdot. Medium plus nose has some of that classic Chile style of green pepper, licorice, spicy earth, purple fruit, blackberry, cassis. Palate is softer than expected, really approachable and savory, dark fruit of blackberry, sage, blueberry, black plum, sweet pepper, red peppercorn, finishes smooth. Really good stuff.
