    Dark ruby purple turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off ripe black and red fruits with hints of smoked olives. The palate is a modern take on Rioja - very ripe and velvety with flavors of raspberry, dark cherry, licorice on a medium plus acidity that holds up the structure. Secondary flavors of leather, tobacco, toasted oak and unmistakable Rioja earth on the long finish with dusty but refined tannins. Drink now until 2034. 93+
