a bit of a mystery to me this wine - the notes suggests cellaring the wine for 8 to 12 years so I thought I was a little early opening my first from a a case of six - the wine was fruity and sweet without depth or any discernible tannic structure - I will leave my next bottle for a couple of years

Strawberries, cream, vanillin oak, intense berry, fruits of the forest, floral, hint of whole bunch, gamey notes, light on palate initially but then a rush of red and dark fruits, smooth and silky, moves to gentle tannin astringency, creamy energetic finish, gets better with time in the glass

GT Wine Top Tasting 2015 Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir (8 Danks street, Sydney): Oof, slightly farty and funky over pretty red berry and cherry fruit, Perfumed. Less pleasant on the palate - the tannins are ripe and silky but, even despite their relative lightness, they still dominate what little fruit is there - but the fruit carries long. Hmm. Quite an interesting enigma. I wonder what will happen to this with time?
