Had this alongside a bottle of 2013 Santenay by PYCM with Japanese dinner at friends' House after a pretty good wine tasting at our local golf club organised by a member who works for Berkmann Wine Cellars. Italian, Slovenian, South African & French wines around a food matching theme. Have had a couple of bottles of this wine before. Impressed by the quality & relative complexity of what is theoretically a fairly basic Chardonnay from the Macon. Great value. Apricots and honey, slight citrus peel edge to it and a touch of smoke and light toasted oak. Very attractive, well-made and very easy to drink. Worth finding.

Medium gold. Chalky, reductive notes (burnt match) melon. Ripe, round, with toasty oak and just enough acidity to hold the richness together. Classic Macon mouthfeel but on the ripe, lush side for Kermit. Very good. Definitely buy again.

Good balance, crisp acidity, and more oak than I expected, but it was nicely integrated. Pineapples, nectarines, tangerines, peaches, honeydew, and kiwi-lime into the creamy finish. Solid QPR. Technical score: 88. Enjoyment score: 90.

This wine is usually a staple for QPR. Tried 2 bottles, both flat, dull with no acidity. Wine tastes very oxidative. A disappointment for this producer. Almost always solid.

I believe this bottle was very close to being corked. Had a mild wet cardboard taste/aroma.
