Dark garnet / purple colored, a bit inky in the glass. Decanted 1 hour.
Nose is dark cassis, campfire, tobacco, and black cherry. Palate is black fruit dominants, with pure cassis, tobacco leaf, cedar, and leather notes. Palate had a a nice plushness. Tannins are present but in the background at this point, acid low/ moderate.
This is a fairly modern Napa cab yet is reasonably well balanced (a bit more acid would be helpful). Drinking well. 2011 continues to be an underrated Napa vintage and everything I’ve had so far had a nice level of complexity and is not overdone. Plenty of 2011 bargains out there.

Far too much like a lower level Bordeaux than a quality Napa wine. Thin and rathe astringent. Disappointing.
