  • G20; 4*+8*+4.5+8.5+8.5+4.5+4*=92+ 13.5% alc. Side by side with 2015 Coattails. Vintage and blend comparison by "sons of Oregon Pioneer winery fathers." Both are Willamette AVA blends. Lighter, already showing some bricking; more spice notes. Both were very good and ready to drink as compared to some of the other 2015s opened recently. These were more indicative of the warm vintage with more ripeness and early drinkability. This was an above average Oregon Pinot Noir with a long finish, nice depth and overall much better than the Coattails. This was just a great Oregon Pinot Noir and really showed that on Day 2 (pumped). Overall great balance. This was my last bottle, but the cellaring horizon seems short at this point. Great structure and balance, but it is rapidly going into the "showing age" realm and is likely at its peak now and although it might stay there for 2-3 years it really should be drank now.

  • Two hour double decant. Deep rosy magenta color. Strawberry, marmalade, bing cherry, and subtle minerality on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with fine, mouth filling acidity. Soft tannins on the medium long finish.

  • Lively and vivacious with a charming 'sweet' perfume quality (not RS). A house style wine, fun and appealing. 91-92.
