The wine looks inky, dark purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like pine, medicinal, forest floor, plum, prune, raisin, black currant (cassis), black pepper and green olive. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, black pepper, tobacco, Herbes de Provence and is quite meaty. Acidity is medium plus; body is medium plus. I can feel the heat from the high alcohol... The wine has an angular texture and a medium finish. Drink now.

Revisiting this wine 6 months later. Very little change/ variation from the July review. Still highly enjoyable with a modern fruit forward profile; but by no means jammy or overdone.
I think this may hold up an additional 2-3 years beyond the 2020 CT drinking window consensus.

Enjoyed this CS , Syrah, and PV blend from the Maipo valley. I thought I detected a hint of Carmenere here but it was not listed in the description. Poured an inky dark purple with scents of purrple flowers, blackberry, menthol, and brush. Dense and rich on the palate with a melange of well defined black fruits. Just a hint of sweetness here also. A very pleasing salt infused quality on the back end to match the refined tannin. Of course this is crafted with a commercial profile that will appeal to many. In my opinion, a steal at sub $30.
