  Tasted blind. Splendid wine. Intense, interesting nose shows partial development and complexity. Loved it, and can't wait the 3-4 years I shoud until tasting my last bottle.

  This bottle was a disappointment. We’ve been familiar with this cuvée for a long time and we usually like it a lot because of its intensity and juiciness, for me a perfect example of the terroir of Avize, but we guess this bottle was just not very well conserved. Lots of chalk and oak notes, pineapple, mango and ripe citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, grapefruits and clementines; lime cordial, baked lemons, along with a metallic feeling, burned brown sugar, and an old furniture-like aroma; oxidative finish that wasn't very clean.
  It was very sour and plain-textured, the bubbles were not very present; we think it was an ‘off’ bottle because it is too young of a wine to be in this state, not very pleasant, and too boring to drink for the fantastic 2012 vintage.
