Though I think the grape composition / sources in later vintages may differ, this 2015 is I understand all Syrah from sites surrounding Cornas and the high-elevation, cool-climate vineyards of Vinsobres to the south. Very worthy Cote du Rhone. Delicious in a more serious style. Beautifully complex nose. Fully ripe Syrah fruit - which I have long since thought to be one of the most compelling of grape flavor profiles. Still some tannic presence. Perhaps one could wish for a little more acid to drive the wine through its finish. Will keep no doubt but this has a really attractive freshness and energy still, along with some complexity from six years in bottle - so I doubt it gets better. Perfect summer mixed grill /barbecue wine. Happy with this.

Still very primary, this is an example of pure, varietal Syrah. No oak, no overextraction, very clean and pure. I'm not sure that it will ever get very complex but we can enjoy it now for what it is.

Somehow not as opulent as the 2016 version. This has more tannin and acid but way less fruit. It doesn't seem to me that the fruit is going to go the distance? Just a tad out of balance?

This has a distinct bit of "stemmyness" on the palate. I liked it but my wife did not.
