Clean cork. Still very much purple in colour. Nose has primary red fruit with a hint of liquorice. Red fruit burst on the palate with good acidity and soft tannins. Nice finish.

I often find Franck Balthazars wines too harsh - especially his wines from Cornas. This wine is not like that. Since he’s located in Cornas I was expecting northern Rhône flavours but it taste a lot more southern Rhône to me. Pure raspberry fruit, a little garique and yogurt. The taste is remarkably fresher and lighter than the nose with fresh acidity and a little mineral kick at the finish. Not bad…

Plump, pure and spicy dark cherry and blackberry- really inviting with lots of violet: energetic and aromatic. Clean and juicy on the palate, medium bodied with subtle grip and moderate acidity, floral and fruity concentration with reasonable persistence. Just totally delicious.

Herlig duft av mørke bær og et lite vaniljepreg. Ungdommelig, svakt utviklet. Sval frukt, god punch med bjørnebær, lakris og Lakrisal! Lang, leskende smakskurve med middels tanningrep, pen syre. Mye drikkeglede for pengene. Deilig alene, trenger ikke mat.

At first a big metallic, bitter slice runs through the wine. With air, this dissipates leaving a creamy personality that I just don’t like in opposition to a fairly fruity entry. Like a milkshake? Nose is mildly suggestive of bret. Stylistically not for me.
