  • 2005 or older 1er/GC blind-tasting at Bar-A-Thym.

Red WOTN for most. This came across as both aged, yet young. Very nice!

  • from a perfect looking bottle with a 1 cm fill, this wine had a light red center and light orange rims. The nose was quite tight at first and took 3+ hours to open up. Afterward, it offered up raspberries, rhubarb, citrus, and some tan spices.

In the mouth, this wine was very light and acidic at first. After it opened up, it was light bodied with great integration and balance. It had firm acidity, light rounded tannin, and very good length. While not wildly complex, it had a lovely funk.

This wine is certainly in its drinking zone. However, it will easily last 5-10 years. Enjoy!
