Interesting. Light-medium body; very nice dark fruit aromas and flavors that carry into the finish. But there is a slight but definitely noticeable bitter astringency that is present from beginning to end, and the wine lacks structure.

Not a bombastic zin, but if you appreciate the lighter, softer side of zinfandel this will be very enjoyable. This soft, rounded style is similar to what Scott Harvey in his Vineyard 1869 bottling (sourced from the same vineyard) produced . The flavors were complex and evolviong with floral, orange zest and pomegranate notes, Just a bit of heat at the end. The finish was long and pleasant

A consequential vineyard, mediocre resolution: Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Pale garnet color with a bit of brick, like a Pinot Noir. Very light nose of red berries. Light-bodied on the palate, with ripe orange flesh flavors in an appropriate acid balance for this light of a wine. The finish is fast and drying with near-zero tannins. This wine is far less interesting than the label would lead you to believe.
