Pretty dark purple color. Needs about an hour to start to open up. Great nose with dark fruit and molasses. Blueberry and black cherry on palette. Tannins are smooth, but still present. Seems like this wine will continue to improve with age.

80% CS/17% Merlot/3% PV. Big and juicy up front with blackberry and black cherry fruit. Rich mid-palate with notes of black licorice, earth, dark chocolate, and toasty oak. Very well balanced with good acidity, smooth tannins, and a nice long finish. Great now but at only 8 years of age, this will easily lay down for another decade.

This bottle wasn't showing as well as recent CT notes. Didn't get as much fruit as others have mentioned. Gave it the Phoenix Summertime chill and 90 minutes of air and it still needed a pass thru the Vinturi. Pours a very dark purple. After a while it settled down and became a really smooth and mellow (and enjoyable) drink, albeit without much fruit interest.
