  • Elegant, very perfyme-dominated on the nose. Flowers and pear in the front. Deeper down there is some stone dust and further down slight hints of salvia.

Smooth, light bodied on the palate with pleasent zingy acid and good pear-fruity structure. Grape fruit bitterness is playing in the background (too young?). Overall easy drinkning but still with complexity and good length.

I am not so experienced with sparkling german wines but this was good.

  • Youthful, luminous yellow-green color. Ripe and somewhat waxy nose with aromas of sour apple candies, some lemon zest, light woolly lanolin notes, a hint of key lime and a touch of crunchy green apple. The wine is crisp, lively and quite light-bodied on the palate with fresh, tangy flavors of lemony citrus fruits, ripe Granny Smith apple, some waxy tones, a little bit of herbal bitterness, light woolly tones, a hint of sweeter yellow stone fruits and a touch of saline minerality. The finish is fresh and lively with quite long flavors of key lime, some waxy richness, a little bit of sweet golden apples, light woolly tones and a hint of steely minerality.

A fresh, bright and crunchy Riesling Sekt. Shows more depth than the non-Reserve Riesling Brut of Solter, but doesn't come across as rich and complex as the vintage 2008 of this same wine. A very enjoyable and refreshing effort all the same. Nice!
