Only produced in select years. Garnet color due to extensive aging.(2 years in Slovenian oak). Cedar, blue flowers and dusty earth on the nose. Flavors of cherry and toasted oak with hints of chocolate and balsamic vinegar. Medium bodied with fine grained tannins.

A year since last noted tasting. Similar notes, except the 0 progress leads me to think it is giving us all it has now. We candebate value, but as a fine wine it is nothing anyone should be seeking, let alone stocking.

If blind tasted, I would never have guessed this to be a Chianti Classico, never mind a Riserva. But, for the price, I suppose it does drink like an inexpensive Chianti for pasta night on Wednesday. Short on everything. Absolutely would not hold this wine. It will not improve with age, drink now.

All things in place save for rather harsh acidity/tannic kick. I would think that a 2013 would start to mellow out by now, so I am not optimistic about this wine giving much pleasure with further aging. OK with food, but hard to sip on its own.

Real Chianti for $14? Can't complain that it's not particularly distinguished.
