  • This was quite a surprise. A wonderfully balanced and bright 30 year old chenin from Cali. Dried apricot, baked pear and baking spice. Palate was all honey comb and apricot with a hint of wet wooliness (though just a touch - nothing like the earthy sweeties from Loire). Amazing with the seasonal fruit tarts at Tartine's in the West Village and pretty good with their creme brulee. Had for Evan's 30th after a 1982 Bouscaut and 1982 Lynch-Moussas.
