Tasted double blind. Highly expressive with its “rounded” aromas that leaning towards darker fruits intermixed with some light red fruits, forest floor and little spice. Equally rich and rounded on the palate, very good intensity of fruits accompany by good acidity and soft ripe tannin. I like village wine in 2015, so open and drinkable and have the ability to age. Lovely wine. Got this right as 2015 Chambolle.

Deep purple-tinged dark maroon. Plush and oaky. This is all 2015 and producer rather than village. Blind I’d probably be in Vosne. Glossy with some oak spice. Maybe come back in 10–20 years to see if it’s found it’s way back to Chambolle. That said, a well made drink that suits quite robust and richly sauced red meat. Pigeon in this case. ***1/2

Bottle was room temp so I threw into our upstairs wine fridge for about 90 minutes to bring the temp down. Then PnP. A beautiful medium purple. Nose gives off dusty oak first, then earth and is slightly spicy. Also picked up on a gamey meaty quality, but background. Great red fruit core on the palate, with tart plum, rasberry, strawberry. Big acidity. Finish is powerful for a few seconds and fades fairly quickly. This wine has some latent power but quite elegant. I suspect it needs time to come together fully given my impressions of wood and acid but is enjoyable now. 90 tonight but I think potential to get to 92+ territory.

Incredible village that blossom right from the start, with blue and red fruits intermixed with Chambolle floral notes and morning forest floor. Excellent richness on the palate yet remains subtle, delicate of Chambolle with ripe integrated tannin and good acidity for the freshness and focus. The savory aftertaste at the Long finish is satisfying and begging for more.
