Chars is farmed wii six different clones. 30% new oak, six different clones, yet only 25% malo. So a little bit more richness but not too much, crowd pleaser.
Here with Pinot: sweet fruit. Not rustic. In the past the winery used to be very rustic but not any more. All domaine. All new equipment. And the CEO is the big change.
The Pinot - sweet fruit and cinnamon spice on the nose. Shows carneros Pinot angularity.
Same vineyard as chard 115 667 and pommard clones a touc more new oak than Chardonnay 40% or so. Only using hillside slopes. The flatland gets the rose.

Tasted at Clos du Val today, very fragrant nose of dark fruit, bacon, mocha, and black cherry, same on the palate, medium body, fruit forward, tasty Pinot Noir, rich fruit but needs more of it, and a long, flavorful finish.
