Light red color. On nose, strawberry, tart cherry, pine resin / forest floor and red currants. Medium body with fruit a little sweeter on palate than nose but tart cherry, cherry pit and strawberry. Medium body, low tannins, medium+ acidity and long finish. Got better with air and better on own than with food. 91+/- Not a re-buy for me but enjoyable. This has aged well.

ESTG does Oregon Pinot (Newcastle, WA): Herbal, high-pitched, a touch of moldiness or forest floor that blows off, cinnamon, clove, wow, very concentrated, dark, brooding, getting really silky. Stunning wine.

Mid/Pale red with slight amber rim. Soft complex nose of red mature fruit with roast beetroot. The palate is transitioning to tertiary with perfect balance and a steely sweet core/gentle persistence/long finish which belies its medium weight. This is the signature of a great wine - do not be fooled that it is not “heavier”. It would be a beginners mistake to think it was not serious. May get more complex but for my palate I would find it hard to make an argument to wait much longer to drink my remaining bottles though I may be wrong.

I’d like it more if it was less structured, allowing the otherwise covered elements to be more forward.
Perhaps 2026?
