Cork and wax in pristine shape. Pours a beautiful light red. Elegant nose of layered plums and raspberries with hints of undergrowth and dry tree bark. More raspberry on the palate, along with an enjoyable funky umami note. Out of the bottle this shows bright and acid-forward, but with additional air it shows more warmth and depth, with more black cherry fruit. Just a hint of astringency on the finish keeps the score from going higher.

Bright red in color. Nose of red fruit with some herbaceous qualities. Hints of flowers. Palate is medium bodied and the red fruit persists with sour cherry, strawberry and spice notes. Fairly lean and austere but presenting nice complexity and pure fruit.

I opened this with friends at our 12/12/10 duck dinner. It had a wonderful expressive bouquet of raspberry, cherry, baking spice, herb and dusty attic aromas. The palate was smooth, beautifully balanced and delicious with flavors of raspberry, cherry, baking spice, herbs and minerals.

Fresh red fruit that mingles with some darker berry elements. Still very elegant and refined for a Dundee Hills Pinot. Perfumed with cinnamon and mineral aspects. Fresh and dried cherries with a hint of wild strawberry. Silky texture and ultra-fine tannins. Some dried herbs and a hint of white pepper.
