This was awesome!!! May be the best Syrah of 2014 I have had. Nose of that typical JS vineyard Santa Barbara. This wine is why I look for John Sebatiano vineyard Syrah. Great wine just wish I had more

No kidding: takes 45 minutes of air to pull together. Good nose, great mouth, decent length. Brambly and high pitched in a good way. It’s not a big wine but it’s got all of the pieces.
Not sure that there’s a reason to wait to drink the next ones. Hmm.

Lots of violets on the nose. Bright fruit with a straight forward palate. Cherry, raspberry and just ripe plum. Surprisingly fresh if not pleasingly simple.

Wow I love this wine. I drank a few glasses of this out of the Coravin last night with dinner. Tonight I opened the cork and it was the same. What a pleasurable food wine! On the nose there is ripe fruit and earth. Blackberry and cassis on the nose along with some cherry and prune aromas. Some dark chocolate and leather also accompany the dustiness on the nose. On the palate this wine continues to amaze. There is lots of chocolate and ripe dark fruit followed by dusty tannins and a delicious balance of earth and fruit. I love this. Thankfully I have a few more in the cellar. Can’t wait to see what happens.
