  • Greenblanket found this long lost bottle hiding in the cellar among some Turleys that he was hoping to forget (quite a safe hiding spot these days) so he decided to turn it into a little one man Science Closet tasting which of course was just his rationalization for drinking alone before 4:00 PM. Long story short - it was pretty damn good; most notable really for being a Washington cab and surviving 14 years in an ambient cellar but tasty and balanced with nice earthy red and plummy fruit with some decent amounts of tannin and acid remaining. Who would have thunk it during the days of Red Mountain's crazy fame that Yakima was "the spot" all along.

  • This wine was maxed out for age. I decanted it for 3 hours to get some oxygen. It was drinkable but very sharp.
