Light to medium garnet. Nose is bright, red fruit, floral, brown sugar/cinnamon. Very nice depth on the initial entry. Creamy black raspberry with more of that cinnamon spice, but also a little bit of a darker twiggy stemmy forest floor type earthiness. Lovely palate with a bit of structure but balanced.
Drinking wonderfully. Still more primary than anything else.

A great Burgundy pinot as well as a truly great Californian one are otherworldly and completely ethereal, highly aromatic wines and as far as Oregon goes I don't find this to be the case. The latter seem to be more somber and dark fruited with somewhat muted nose and black fruit and earth infused palate (think Pommard on steroids). In this particular case the aforementioned statement is quite true in my opinion, at the same time the TnC delivers a delightful tasting experience with a rounded mouthfeel and plush feel. Loads of dark fruits, some earth, some sous bois. Can be taken for Merlot in a blind tasting , yet there is this distinctive Pinot character and Oregonian of course.
