This bottle was a gift from a non wine drinker, he was given a case from the importer a while back, upon uncorking the coloration on the cork went 3/4 of the way up the cork and the wine was off. i think this wine was stored in an uncontrolled environment, for the price i will purchase another and try a properly stored example

South of the Equator Wines! (Farpointe Cellar): The nose was a mocha bomb mixed with plum and mint. The palate was very nice, with boysenberry, currants, fig, and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish was great.

Alcohol: 14.5% Cork Type: Natural Nose/Bouquet: Dark Chocolate Flavor/Palate: Smooth Plum and Red Berries Finish: soft generous long lasting tannins and hints of chocolate. Color: Deep Garnet Chill Factor: 60 F Decanter/Breathing time: 60 minutes Potential: Could Cellar until 2010, but can drink right away. I believe we caught this wine at the beginning of its peak. Food: Good before, during and after dinner. We drank it with a Beef Dinner. Overall Opinion: A full bodied fruity Syrah wine. We would buy this vintage again by the case. Good for a beginner starting their cellar
