A clean albeit relatively straightforward nose mainly comprised of fresh fruits, including lemon, pear and melon. At 14.4% ABV, it comes off as a little hot on the palate which seems to run counter to the crisp unoaked style of chardonnay that it's shooting for. Fine at $20 or under, not sure I'd see the value paying more (at which point I'd gravitate towards an entry-level Chablis instead).

It does not get any better than this for an under twenty dollar wine. A very good chard.

Unoaked chard lets you taste the total grape.

may not be complex but a perfect wine to have with chicken or pork entrees.
