  • Colour: cherry red
    Nose: plum, raspberry, strawberry. Tomato juice. Green peppercorn. Tabasco. Meaty, earthy. Balsamic.
    Palate: plum, strawberry, raspberry. Tomato. Green peppercorn. Meaty, earthy. Balsamic. Fresh berry-like acidity, fine grained tannins. Fresh, lively, lithe, complex. Better than I remember from last time. Lovely. Medium bodied, 13% alcohol.
    Seal: cork.

  • Colour: translucent cherry red
    Nose: plum, raspberry, maybe some blackberry. Balsamic vinegar. Less green peppercorn and salami than I remembered.
    Palate: raspberry, strawberry with balsamic vinegar, plum, blackberry. Again, only a suggestion of green peppercorn and salami. Lots of fresh berry-like acidity, smooth, only slightly drying tannins. Acid-driven. Not as good as I remembered it ... maybe closed? Medium body, 13% alcohol.

  • Colour: translucent cherry red
    Nose: red fruit: plums and raspberry. White and green peppercorns. Meaty. Old oak.
    Palate: savoury and meaty, green peppercorn, raspberry, plum. Juicy red fruit. Medium bodied, with smooth, fine grained, drying tannins, and fresh berry like acidity. Lacks a little depth and length, but a good, basic Crozes-Hermitage, v.good everyday drinking. 13% alcohol.
