Much darker and more substantial than a west coast Pinot. Nose is all sour and then heat. Much prefer this to any west coast Pinot Noir that I have had recently. Given the heat on the finish I think this wine would benefit from more age. Enjoyable but ultimately not my style of wine and therefore it is difficult to score too well.

A bit confused by this one tonight. We poured this right after uncorking. I struggled to recognize this as a Burgundy. The mid-palate is all floral and the finish is velvet. I feel like it is well structured but we rushed things tonight.

This wine evolved quite a bit as the night progressed. If blind, I would have guessed a typical CA PN--thin, cherries, etc. As the evening progressed I think it developed significantly into a much better wine. The coloring seemed slightly darker later in the evening and all of the alcohol blew off the nose. The finish developed to be more smooth and sour mouth coating, even slightly medicinal. I purchased this based on a recommendation from Money Magazine several years ago and had to use winesearcher.com to find it. In the end, better than a Pinot and among the better young Burgundy wines I have had.

Better than my last bottle and decanted longer too. Light, medium body and full.

Drinking very well. Good fruit content - not intense or concentrated but enjoyable.
