(Saviah Cellars Syrah Walla Walla Valley) Nebbiolo Vintage CORRECTION: We had a vintage typo in our Friday Vajra offer. We printed 2016 as the vintage for the Langhe Nebbiolo, when the actual vintage – the one we tasted, wrote about, and have access to – is 2015. If that changes anyone’s ordering calculus, please just reply to this e-mail and let us know. Apologies for the mix-up. We try to be diligent about these things, but occasionally a gremlin slips through. Rest assured that we will be self-flagellating for the remainder of the weekend. ---- Hello friends. Earlier this year, we were able to offer Rich Funk’s exquisite 2014 Walla Walla Valley Syrah at the lowest tag we’ve had for any vintage of that wine, lower than its $32 release price, lower than our previous-low tariff (26.99 TPU for the 2007 vintage). In order to secure the same pricing for the 2015, we needed to make a pretty serious volume commitment. Do you think I hesitated for even a lick? See key for # of bottles currently available.

I swear I am detecting some Rocks Funk on this bottle. Perhaps some grapes from Rich's vineyard down south in Milton Freewater made it into this wine. Amazing QPR.

Holy cow was not ready for this. Amazing QPR wine. Blueberry and blackberry along with fresh herb, orange peel and spice. Some coffee notes linger on the finish.
