  Medium deep garnet with brick flashes. Nose is earthy, wet forest, black cherry, some floral notes show up later. On the palate it's medium bodied with a bit of ink, blackberry, smooth acid balance. Finishes with tea notes and light tannins. Compared to Turley this is rounder, more earthy.

  Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium ruby color, light for a zin. Strongly herbal nose, along with black cherry and fig notes; it gains welcome floral tones after awhile. Light-bodied on the palate, in the New School Zin style. Acid balance is round and delicious, with a hint of ink at the bottom. Finishes fast with light grip and low tannins.
