Light and lean. The aromas are floral and woody: chamomille, cherry blossom, a bit of rose, oak. Modest acidity, restrained strawberry and cherry fruit, a short follow-through: it folds its hands modestly when paired with fresh red tomato, and shrinks when confronted with cumin-driven spicy black beans. A non-starter in more ways than one.
