Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 88 points

  • 88: A very decent Cab Sauv, not the best but far from the worse, and a relatively good QPR. The cork was in great condition, but a lot of sediment. Opaque, deep purple color. A few slow, thick legs. Berries, spice, and oak on the nose. Vanilla and spice balance the oak and dark plum flavors, establishing an acceptably complex palate. The tannins are strong, surprisingly for the age, but it works with food. Paired well enough with barbeque burgers, but it really fulfilled its calling with a rich flourless chocolate cake.
