  • Surprisingly ready to go. Feel like this has a lot of potential, but even now very enjoyable.

  • The wine is full-bodied and concentrated. But it's not a wine of power. Instead the wine lives through its purity, sensuality, length and opulence. The plum and cherry core of fruit expands on the palate and in the juicy, long finish. This is the final vintage made from 100% Merlot.

  • The second time in a couple of weeks to try this, first one from my cellar the second time drank at Pazzo in Antwerp in the presence of Jacques.
Very consistent wine, needs time to open up and is obviously young, but already very approachable. Unlike the 2014 that is really open for business, this needs more time and can best be left for at least 5 years in cellar, and shall offer even more fun from then, for more then a decade.
The wine already has a signature nose with truffle, sous bois, cherry and dark fruits. (Very recognizable next to the second, Collines)
Really nice style of classic Merlot, medium to full bodied, juicy black and red fruit, yet elegant and pure on the pallet with a very nice length. Good offering for now but shall improve.
Precision was already mentioned but also laser sharp and focused, a wine to love.

  • Indecent, like Le Pin. When we see the quality of wines such as Calon Segur, Pavia Macquin, Clos Fourtet, Brane Cantenac, ...., all much better and enormously cheaper, we prefer to remain wine drinkers rather than labels

  • Ruby-garnet with a brush of toner, the wine offers truffle, smoke, black raspberries and cherry liqueur, which I would consider a perfect start. From there this really launches as it melts into your palate. Elegance, sweetness, purity of fruit, length and finesse with a precision and refinement that is difficult to achieve. The finish sticks with you and the memory holds up. Made from 100% Merlot, the wine reached 14.3% alcohol with a pH of 3.38. The harvest was quick, taking place October 19 and 20. Only 400 cases were produced.
