A few days in Napa with fellow CT'r Cristal2000: The front end on the 2015 Adamvs shows quite a bit of plush and deep fruit flavor as it immediately gushes over the palate and forms a wave of mixed berry and dark earth elements. A half second later, it clenches up and becomes exceedingly linear on the back end, finishing with a honed and slightly clenched tail. The richness is duly counterbalanced by the frame, but the scaffolding puts up a wall rather quickly on delivery. A powerhouse to be sure. This is a wine that will continue to require time in bottle. Revisit in 3-5+ years.

ADAMVS Verticals (w/CSIMM1161) (ADAMVS Vineyard and Winery): This wine turns the weight, purity and focus up a notch from the QUINTVS. Displaying pure cassis, dark chocolate, forest floor and black olive notes, there is a massive core that never gets heavy due to the exceptional acidity and overall structure. Slightly more opulent than the 16 and 18 I had alongside, it retains its freshness and finishes super long. Special wine, but either lay it down or give it a lot of air.

Hold. This is a big boy cab that needs cellar time, at least until 2025. All the pieces are here but the structure is too aggressive at this stage, understandably. The oak definitely needs to integrate more but there's a tasty Napa cassis foundation that's undeniable.

Decanted for 3-4 hours. Was in a perfect place even though the fruits were very young. Extremely balanced with everything you want from a cabernet. Power, finesse, balance, acidity, smooth tannins, and an incredible finish. Obviously with age should improve and settle a bit but it’s such a beautiful expression of cabernet. Cheers-
