Day one: Clear, saturated ruby; nose of red fruits evolving into vanilla/toasted wood, hints of forest floor; vivacious acidity, not much tannin, and tertiary flavors dominant. Seemed a bit hot vs 13.5 ABV in the label. Nicely complemented a tagline of beef and carrots with aromatic spices (cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, cumin, etc.)
After a few days under vacuvin: aromas now tending toward cedar, tobacco, and cloves, palate still bright with pomegranate, sour cherry, and some minerality. Moderately long finish.

Tasted at the winery. Vines grown at 700 feet. 35% new french oak, light toast. 1 year in barrel. Showing slight ageing on the colour. Light nose. Dry, savoury.

Mushroom notes on approach; currant and spiciness through to a finish with kick. Not one of their best, but still very good.

A nice Pinot that made for a very pleasant experience tonight at Tina’s Dundee. Paired well with the salmon spring rolls.

Very nice Pinot Noir, give it a couple 3 years and it will be better.
