I thought this was better than the last bottle I tasted. Nice nose; cherry and other red berry flavors along with some solid tannins. Well built, fairly long finish. Has a lot of life left in it.

Took an hour or so to open up. Black fruit, vegetal and earthy nose. Medium weight, nicely structured with blackberry fruit, juicy acidity, hints of tomato and celery, and solid tannins that linger a long time on the finish. In short a classic Loire cab franc, and very good.

didn't fall in love with this one, but a really good wine. tons of smells in this one. greeeeen, green pepper, leaves, underbrush, celery sticks, green vines. chalk dust, black currant and licorice also. nice tannins and a decently long finish. definitely not your standard issue wine, different. new band aid smell at times. decant it for a while.

(Olek-Mery Chinon Des Tireaux) #2; COLOR-very dark; NOSE-like Mama's tomato/meat sauce; celery root; English green peas; TASTE-ripping; a wonderful bottle; a little more New World on the initial attack than the Amirault Bourguiel (a black licorice candied strawberry component w/ a lot of weight), but this is still extremely Old World greenish wine; great backbone; tremendous firm tannins; great balance & focus; this wines are very distinct and many will not like, but these wines are so well made; amazing complexities; great transitions, extraordinary ability to accentuate the flavors on the gorgeous length; enjoying the dark flavors; a forest floor/mushroom component; blackberries singing & dancing on my entire palate; WS-91; GV-90

Somewhat rich, light acidity. Deep fruit. Lightly closed. Tannic.

Cab Franc shines through in this one. Thinner than usual chinons I've had. Not too crazy about it.
