Had at the winery via tasting. Blown away with the flavor and complexity at this age. Bought the last bottles remaining and wish they had more. Crazy that it aged this well.

It has been almost five years since I have visited this wine. And, I found these on the secondary market for a pretty good deal. The wine pours a slight honeyed amber to the glass. Nose of yellow fruit grape must, ripe melon, a bit of burned butter and herbal character. The palate has a nice, rounded mouthfeel throughout, good acidic character even early on. Great integration of components and a buttery yellow fruit finish with limestone grit. I have 2 more of these including a wine that is more of a GF "ex-chateau" release therefore it will be interesting to see how that one drinks vs the other one acquired on the secondary. I really cannot say enough about thid RRV producer. Solid, extremely competitive wines that will go toe-to-toe with overhyped, overpriced wines heralded by people who say they use wine to share with all, yet use it to promote exclusivity. This is a wine that everyone can enjoy at the backyard BBQ, where everyone is invited!

Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of talc, vanilla, spices and yellow pear. Flavors of red apples, lemon spritz and a hint of cherry. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold.
