This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah is dark ruby/inky in the glass with a nose and flavors of black currant, blackberry, mocha and just a hint of licorice. Lengthy, complex finish. It's approachable now with a short decant, but has the tannic backbone to improve with a few years in the cellar. Enkidu made a very good "E" Cab in 2014, but the 2015 is even better, and at around $25 per bottle, punches way over its weight. In fact, it's better than the more expensive Mountain offering, which sadly, has vegetal (i.e., green pepper) notes.

Had at Enkidu's tasting room in the sonoma square, it was an off menu request so it was a PnP. The juice is very youthful and will need at least another year or two to calm down & shine with balance. At $25 it is fantastic QPR.
