  • COME on now…..this is some fun stuff! 20yrs now….fresh as a daisy….with subtle aged Burgundy love nuggets! This wine is smooth….plush as a pillow…yet strong bones standing tall. No grand cru boner here…but it does get the blood flowing…..everything is subtle, yet correct and tasty in the 20yr aged Burg place……would turn a lot of heads in a blind setting! Couple more left….

  • Dark rustic red, rose rim color.....sweet cherry, raspberry liqueur, sous bois, tobacco leaves, dried rose nose. Flat out tasty! Wasn't expecting much from a 16 yr old Bourgogne...but was expecting quality from this producer. Not a blockbuster by any means...very delicate and somewhat light...but the fruit is ripe and fresh, with nice tart skin acidity, and plenty of aged character and feel. Has wonderful potpourri florals and dried fruit....leaves, mineral crunch as well. Fun wine!

  • London Blind Challenge (Caldesi, London): Pinot noir nose. Slightly vegetal and farmyardy. Quite mature. Colour difficult to assess in this light. Burgundy. Strawberry fruit comming through. Volnay? Hints of Nuits St Georges too. Fruit fading. Guess: 1990 Volnay or possibly Beaune.
