Right where this wine should be. In a great spot now. Nice and balanced CDN pinot noir. Hard to think this was a steal for Burgundy at $35 but in today's game, it is.

David Duband is a younger, increasingly spotlight Burgundian and his Nuits Villages is a beautiful bottle of dark red berries, mushrooms, and the right amount of oak which become a Dr. Pepper like thing.

Medium ruby in colour. Aromas of redcurrants, red cherries, raspberries, kirsh and a touch of cedar and spice. Red fruits on the palate, quite fresh. Medium acidity, medium tannins and a medium finish. A very enjoyable example of a fresh and fruity Burgundy Pinot Noir with hints of complexity that may indicate some future development if kept.

Mid colour; raspberries, framboise liqueur, chocolate, cedar box; plump, unresolved ripe tannins, expansive; plenty on finish. There is more to come.
