Had the remains of a nice Chard about it. I remember this as a solid 88 or so, great value wine. This was the last bottle in the cellar, it's well past its prime now, and descended down to somewhere in the low 80s. Still plenty of butter, light oak, and quite pleasant to go with a cheese and broccoli soup for dinner.

Pretty dark yellow color for an '05; nose of papaya, banana, and toasted marshmallow; on the palate, heavy oak influrnce and quite buttery as well; very nice acidity with lingering tropical finish and just a slight citrus edge; very sweet and rich; seems to be a typical hardcore Cali chard, but right up my alley; an inexpensive white that I'd definitely drink again.

Shows typicity, if you will - in that it tastes a lot like every other California Chardonnay in its price range. Maybe this wasn't the best bottle, but I found this wine to be over-oaked and too full in texture to go well with food.

Very nice. Crisp and not too buttery -- went well with salmon and asparagus.
