Medium to medium deep ruby - briary red fruit on nose, but quite muted - palate is much better, very nice, grown-up flavours, with some grip - nice structure, I like it, perhaps a tad hot.

First experience with Merlot from Little Engine after hearing good things about them. Pleasantly surprise at such a young age, the wine doesn't need much decanting, doesn't really have sharp edges, gives such balance of integrated oak & vanilla, ripe yet in-check, smooth, round, slight acidity, full of yummy sensation. I would classify this wine at C$40 a little higher on my QPR scale. If C$30-$35, no doubt I can call this my go to Merlot.
