I found the other reviews quite interesting — shows just how different the experience can be with different people. Could also reflect inconsistencies from bottle to bottle. For me, this wine was quite nice. It was not overly extracted and not overly oaked. It was in a soft middle range that I like — smooth fruit, good acid, and very easy to drink with almost anything. It doesn’t have much of a nose or finish, but for the price i think its a decent pinot to have around.

I'm with Brubron on this. Stemmy and light for a California PN, probably why I like it
Nice acidity, unmistakable pinot colour and aromatics, medium body, an austere touch on finish

Decent $17 Cali Pinot '15 Baileyana Firepeak. Stemmy PN nose, plum; mid-body, tight acids; good fruit; long hot finish detracts (14.3 alc.).
